Author Interview: M. Frost

  1. For those of us who don’t know, what genre/s do you write in?
A: im currently writing MM romance with a splash of fantasy
  2. When did you discover you had a love of writing?
A: I was always making up stories as a kid. When I got into high school I met a friend that really
    got me into writing.
  3. What do you feel was your biggest challenge in writing your upcoming book?
A: so I would say the biggest challenge with writing this book is the characters. The main two
characters are sons of Santa Clause and Jack Frost. There’s a bunch of Lore on Santa and
Jack Frost. So taking giving them children and using them is like getting a get out of free card
and a collect 200 as you pass go at the same time, since you don’t have anything to really go off
of. But at the same time you have to be respectful of the past stories since they are well known
    figures.
  4. How long have you been working on this book?
A: Over all I have been working on this book for two months. Before the research, writing and
    publication process.
  5. Where did you find the inspiration to write?
A: I have always enjoyed entertaining people.Having a younger sister and younger cousin’s my
imagination was always being used. Also being gay there are more books now that are LGBT
positive, but I would love to help make more so that the younger generation has every kind of
    lgbt books that there are.
  6. What do you hope readers take away from this book?
A: This book is all about timing and of love returning. That if love isn’t happening at the moment
you thing it should, it’s probably because love is off. Without giving any real spoilers. The main
characters Rudy and Jr. Both find that teen love but we only see a snap shot through them
reminicing. They were at the stage of life where if you feel your crush not reciprocate your love
it’s devastating. But love comes back around and they are able to have a better love now then
they could back then. I think that the saying is if you love something let it go… and if it comes
back to you it was meant to be. What they don’t tell you is your prince charming could get
scared by a deer and spend a few years stuck up a tree. But he will find his way to you to help
give you, your happy ever after.
  7. What advice would you give to anyone wanting to write?
A: Write… Write like the wind. Write what you know and write what you love. Hell even write
what you want or the type of story you want to be out in the world. Cause they type of book you
are able to write is probably the type of book someone is longing to read.
  8. What’s your favorite part of publishing for far?
A: Since this is my first time publishing. I find it all interesting and my favorite each in its own
way. I love character development before i write a story, Writing is awesome… once it’s on
paper or computer it’s one less story trapped in my head. But what has to be my favorite part at
the moment is hearing the beta readers reactions. Hearing the criticisms but also the requesting
    more.
  9. What’s your favorite writing beverage?
A: This will sound funny. But as I’m writing a christmas story i’m craving eggnog and Hot coco.
So I’m drinking lots of hot coco with tons of marshmallows.
  10. Where is the one place you wish you could go, but haven’t yet?
A: Greece… Definitely Greece. I’ve studied Greek Mythology since I was a kid doing it for fun.
So I would love to go and see all the old temples and museums. But I would love to go to
Ireland and England for the food and all the yarn.
  11. Where can readers find out more about you?
A: I’ll have more info on Mike Frost on Facebook, M.Frost93 on instagram and once I come up
with a cool name for my readers group I’ll have that. But Follow Facebook and Instagram for
    more titles coming this year.
