Our Projects

At the Indie Author Book Expo, we want to bring the fun back in reading.

One of the ways we aim to do so is to bring authors to classrooms, as requested by teachers, to read their books, instruct activities, and/or educate kids of all ages.

By starting in Elementary schools, we can bring a love of reading back to children by having authors read their stories to kids, answer questions, and instruct any activities that pertain to the story. We believe this will not only spark more imagination, but a closer relationship with books.

At the middle school and high school levels we hope to renew a love of reading for students who may have lost their spark for books by bringing in authors to read a few chapters from their age-appropriate books. Authors could also come into any classroom to speak about the writing process, and/or what it takes to publish, or self-publish books.

For most indie authors, printing is a costly endeavor. And working with major retailers doesn’t always prove fruitful. Not to mention, the cost of printing will cause you to hike up the price of an author’s work, making it twice as hard to sell.

The Indie Author Book Expo plans to change that by acquiring a printing press and binding machine and sourcing local, low-cost supplies, to lower printing costs. We believe this will lower prices all around, thus making books more appealing in one more way.

Help us build better books, together.

Part of our goal is to provide further education for adult writers wanting to expand their writing skills, platform building, newsletter building, book marketing, book launches, and self-editing.
